Each of us has seen the consequences of a public left in the dark about their legal rights. From the courtroom to the classroom, the battlefield to the boardroom, we’ve witnessed the urgent need for accessible legal education.
Though our paths are different, our purpose is shared. We are united by a belief that knowledge is power—and that every American deserves to understand and protect their rights. With over 30 years of experience as a court reporter, Sherry Hale has had a front-row seat to the American justice system—documenting thousands of cases and depositions in courtrooms across the country. Through decades of listening, observing, and recording the legal process, she’s come to a powerful conclusion: “Most people don’t lose in court because they’re guilty… they lose because they don’t know their rights.”
Sherry has seen firsthand how the education system has failed to equip Americans with even the most basic understanding of their legal protections. One of the most common and dangerous misconceptions she encounters is the belief that everyone is automatically entitled to free legal representation. Misunderstandings like this have real consequences.
Today, Sherry is dedicated to educating the public and empowering individuals with real, practical knowledge of their rights. In her view, a better-informed America isn’t just possible—it’s essential to building a stronger, fairer society.

Through years of leadership in the legal industry, he saw firsthand how this knowledge gap can leave individuals vulnerable and disempowered.
Motivated by a deep belief in justice and access to information, PJ is now focused on addressing this critical issue. Dwayne McBryde is a proud U.S. veteran who served with honor and distinction—including in times of war. His service was rooted in a deep commitment to protecting not just his fellow soldiers, but also the families, communities, and countless individuals he may never meet. He fought for the rights and freedoms that define the American spirit.
Today, that mission continues in a new form. Dwayne is deeply passionate about educating Americans on their civil and legal rights. He believes that understanding your rights is one of the most powerful forms of protection—and that every American deserves access to that knowledge. Saedy Devery holds a dual degree in Psychology and Sociology with a focus on criminology and law and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW). A lifelong advocate for equity, justice, and education, Saedy brings extensive experience working with nonprofits that serve underserved and marginalized communities. Her work includes supporting organizations such as Houston REVision—working with incarcerated youth—and HOPE, which helps formerly incarcerated adults successfully reenter society.
Her passion for service began at an early age. As a junior in high school, she founded C.A.R.E., a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and providing support for children who have experienced abuse. This early commitment to advocacy has shaped her career and inspired her continued dedication to empowering others.
In addition to her professional background, Saedy has a personal connection to the veteran community—her husband is a disabled veteran—and she is deeply committed to supporting veterans, people of color, and raising awareness of women’s rights. Her work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves access to information, resources, and the power that comes from understanding their rights and attaining visibility.

Victoria Hermosa is a sophomore at Arizona State University, where she is pursuing a degree in broadcast journalism. Passionate about storytelling and communication, Victoria hopes to build a future in sports broadcast journalism—but her interests go far beyond the camera.
As a college student, Victoria has witnessed just how many of her peers are unaware of their legal rights or how to navigate situations that can escalate without proper knowledge. That experience sparked her passion for advocacy and led her to get involved with U.S. Rights, Inc. “That’s why I’m proud to be part of U.S. Rights, Inc.—a nonprofit dedicated to making legal education accessible, relatable, and practical. For me, it’s personal.”
